Flotation Energy win site in UK Round 4 Auction

Flotation Energy plc, together with its joint venture partner Cobra, secured rights for a 480MW offshore wind project in the Irish Sea. Flotation Energy’s Chief Executive Lord Nicol Stephen said “This is a major step forward for Flotation Energy. Our team is obviously very pleased and they all deserve great credit for such a fantastic result. We have worked very hard on this leasing round for more than 18 months. To secure such a good site when we were up against all of the world’s major offshore wind developers is an amazing feeling. We have to say a very big thank you to Cobra, our Madrid based joint venture partners. We developed a very strong relationship with them while working on the Kincardine floating windfarm.”
