Flotation Energy was founded in Scotland in 2018 by Allan MacAskill and Nicol Stephen. The aim was to advance the immense opportunities offshore wind offers globally.
The team are drawn from a variety of technical and commercial backgrounds. This enables Flotation Energy to solve complex fixed and floating offshore wind challenges at pace, and with great success.
Our founders, Allan and Nicol developed the biggest commercial floating windfarm in the world – the Kincardine Offshore Windfarm, near Aberdeen in Scotland.
Today, we have a project pipeline of developments spanning over 13GW of power in the UK and internationally. With vast experience and knowledge in floating and fixed developments, we are already leading experts in offshore wind.
