A great week for floating wind in Taiwan, supporting Flotation Energy’s exciting projects off Hsinchu. President Tsai Ing-wen announced plans for net zero emissions by 2050 and the Bureau of Energy (BoE) backed floating wind to help meet its 15.7GW offshore wind target by 2035.Flotation Energy’s Reggie Wu, General Manager in Taiwan, has been working on demonstration and commercial floating projects in Taiwan for 2 years, leveraging experience from developing the Kincardine Floating Wind Project off Scotland. We believe in partnering locally and have developed solutions to accelerate development of floating wind in Taiwan and to deliver enhanced local benefits.
