NESO’s Regional Energy Strategic Planning (RESP) Forums & Webinar

In early 2025, the National Energy System Operator (NESO) will take on a new role to develop Regional Energy Strategic Plans (RESPs) for the UK. The plans will help ensure that local areas get the energy infrastructure they need to meet local net-zero and growth ambitions.
NESO is running a series of online forums intended for organisations, businesses and individuals with a keen interest in the energy system in their area.

- Meet the NESO RESP team for your region/nation
- Help NESO to understand the energy issues that are most important to your local area
As well as learning about the work to date and plans in your region, NESO is also looking to gather feedback on two of its key priorities for 2025:
- The methodologyfor how it will produce the RESPs, starting in 2026.
- The ’transitional RESP’ (or tRESP) project, which is focused on supporting the development of the electricity distribution network operator (DNO) business plans for its next investment period, 2028-33, also known as RIIO-ED3.
